I can't remember a time in my life void of art. Any art. Mostly I've always worked with needle and thread (needlepoint, knit, crochet, sew, embroidery) and I'm sure one or a variety of these arts will be my companion until my hands will no longer work. But I also have appreciated and tackled culinary art, stained glass, pastel painting, pen and ink and probably more I have forgotten.
Writing will be a new personal experience for most of the arts I love are lonely arts. Sure there are occassional classes to take and some group participation, but mostly the work is solitary and for the most part performed quietly. Journaling my work and sharing the processes and complete (or many times incomplete) projects may prove to be initially awkward and foreign to me.
But I welcome the challenge and appreciate your visit. Sometimes this blog will be a platform for my musings; other times I welcome you to join me on a journey through a project. Most times I would just like to share. Today, the beginning of my new journey...
